The record

In January 2024 the Federal Trade Commission issued orders against the data broker X-Mode Social and its successor Outlogic, and separately against InMarket, restricting the sale or use of sensitive location data collected from consumers' phones.

Enforcement continued in December 2024, when the FTC acted against Mobilewalla, and Gravy Analytics with its subsidiary Venntel, over the collection and sale of sensitive location data.

Researchers have long found that human movement is highly regular. A 2010 study in Science estimated a 93% potential predictability in users' mobility based on mobile-phone records. That is a statistical finding about patterns across a population, not an AI clone of you, and nothing in the research involves political groups predicting protest routes.

These actions show that some apps and brokers have collected and sold precise location data. That is a documented consumer-privacy issue and a reasonable thing to care about.

The site takes that real concern and bolts it onto an invented conspiracy. Nothing in the FTC record involves political organizations tracking protest routes, and the specific pipeline the site describes (Big Tech to George Soros to Antifa) is fabricated. See Source [33].
